This was my masters thesis project completed in May of 2012 at the School of Visual Arts in NYC.
Seedling is a 3D animation that follows the life and travels of a seed as it floats through the sky to find a new environment to plant itself. In an emotional description inspired by time-lapse photography, this animation is a critical study of the changing relationships man has had with nature. Our perception of the resources around us has influenced our way of life and the destruction of nature. By visualizing the change and impact that mankind has had on the environment, we can create an awareness of the path that we are on as a society. If we continue forward in the same linear fashion, what does the future hold for us?
